On the beginning of Via Veneto you can see a plate where the following sentence is written: "Federico Fellini made Via Veneto the theater of La Dolce Vita" and it is from this time that the famous street became the center of Rome's entertainment and nightlife.
Stay at a bed and breakfast on Via Veneto if you want to be in the heart of Rome, a few steps from the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, and it feel just like in a movie: a romantic, carefree and fun atmosphere from the first to the last minute of your stay.
The thrill of walking by famous designer shops, trendy restaurants and prestigious bars is indescribable, just think that all the major film and tv celebrities live or spend their time on this famous street.
Via Veneto joins Villa Borghese (from Porta Pinciana, one of the few Porte of Rome that despite the restoration hasn't changed hardly at all from its original appearance) to Piazza Barberini, the beautiful square where Via del Tritone starts, which leads the way to the beautiful Trevi Fountain.
Behind Via Veneto, we have the famous Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. You can imagine the amount of sights in the area. From Via Veneto you can see the corner of Piazza Barberini, the beautiful Fountain of the Bees in the shape of a shell, or the legendary church of Santa Maria Immacolata, better known as Santa Maria Immacolata of the Cappuccini, or Our Lady of Conception of the Capuccini. The church, as well as preserving many works of art, including a Caravaggio ("Saint Francis in Prayer") has as its main attraction for tourists the gloomy crypt decorated with thousands of bones of Capuchin friars. At the entrance, visitors are greeted with a rather macabre incision: "We were what you are, and what we are you will be."
